Goa
Benaulim is one of Goa’s most surprising beaches. It’s a small beach located right in the center of Goa, between Arambol in the north and Palolem in the south.
Benaulim is a small village with one main street where you’ll find restaurants with local and Western food, yoga and Ayurveda centers, and at the end, the beautiful and pleasant stretch of beach stretches out.
The area itself is a forested, green area and less touristy than other well-known places. You’ll find tropical jungles and lots of large, green pastures with cows, buffalo, and more.
The village itself, surprisingly, is one of the most well-kept and preserved villages in the coastal areas, and at the same time, it has a rustic and authentic feel with chickens and farm animals roaming freely in the yards and plenty of trees and vegetation.
In terms of accommodation in the village, most of the accommodation is guesthouses located on the owners’ private property, near their home. They are built in a colorful and innovative Portuguese style, following influences from the Portuguese rule that was in the area, and are wide and pleasant.
Benaulim is a pleasant and beautiful beach in central Goa and therefore attracts many tourists, but it is still less known among Israelis. Most of the tourism is international, from foreigners who live in the area, and also local tourism, but much less crowded than the other beaches we know.
