Landing in Delhi? Getting from the airport to the city
Landing in Delhi can be a challenging and mentally draining experience if you don't know how to handle it properly, so we've put together some important tips for you. There are several possible ways to get from the airport to your hotel.

Important to know – When you exit the airport towards the taxi area, you will immediately be approached by drivers and many people who will persistently try to convince you to go with them, and won’t leave you alone until you agree. Remain assertive and, if necessary, be slightly firm—do not agree to go with them! These individuals exploit the fact that you have just landed, are tired, and may not yet be able to communicate effectively. In the best case scenario, you may end up paying far more than the regular price, but often these encounters result in scams. Common schemes include attempts to sell you overpriced vacation packages to remote destinations like Kashmir, claiming that the Main Bazaar is closed (which is never true), or employing a network of fraudsters who pretend to call your hotel or Chabad house, informing you there is no availability and leading you to their hotels, or even arranging an extremely expensive direct taxi to distant locations in India. We have heard many such stories.
If you are landing at the airport in Delhi and are looking for the most convenient option, it is recommended to arrange in advance with a taxi driver who will wait for you and pick you up straight from the airport to your hotel. Of course, this is a more expensive option.
What else can be done? Look for the position of PRE-PAID. This is an official airport taxi stand where you tell them where you want to go and pay in advance, receive a ticket that you give to the driver and he takes you where you agreed. Prices will be more expensive than average, but this is the preferred and most convenient (and least tiring) option for those who have not arranged a taxi in advance.
Another affordable option is to take a taxi using various apps. When you exit the airport to the taxi area, Turn right, and follow the signs for UBER, OLA. There you will reach a station where you can order a taxi using the apps. They can activate an internet connection for you at the station (it is recommended to install the apps in advance while still in Israel, sometimes a verification code is required).
The last and cheapest option is to take the metro, there is a metro that leaves right from the airport, just follow the signs at the exit.
Transportation and mobility within Delhi
A quick glance at the streets of Delhi reveals countless rickshaws and taxis circling around, waiting to take you wherever you want to go. It’s definitely a viable option, but most drivers you meet on the street will demand inflated prices, forcing you either to compromise or engage in exhausting negotiations. For the more experienced travelers, there are far more convenient and cost-effective ways to get around the city.
· Metro: Yes, yes — the metro. Delhi has a well-developed metro network, just like any major European city. It’s modern, convenient, and allows you to reach almost any destination with ease. There are even carriages designated exclusively for women. (By the way, Delhi isn’t the only city in India with a metro — there are many others as well.) Beyond being extremely cheap, comfortable, and remarkably efficient, India’s metro system offers a refreshing break from the dirt, chaos, and heat outside. The trains are clean, modern, and pleasant — and usually, not even too crowded.
· Mass applications: If you plan to spend a few days in Delhi and see the places it has to offer, it's worth downloading the following transportation apps: UBER\OLA. You don't need anything to install them, just receive a confirmation SMS and that's it, no advance payment is required and you can pay in cash. Using these apps, you can get around the city easily and quickly and at prices that are much more affordable and cheaper than the prices you can get by negotiating on the street. You can choose from the app any means of transportation you want - a small or large taxi, a motorbike, and even rickshaws.

♦ AsIt's important to know - Delhi is an immense city with an almost unimaginable population size. There are certain hours during which traffic in the city becomes especially congested, and journeys can take an hour, an hour and a half, or even longer..
At such times, it is recommended to use the especially convenient metro!
It is advisable to keep this in mind when planning for a trip or a flight. Be sure to ask locals and check online for information about expected traffic or congestion at your intended time of travel, and allocate sufficient time in advance to ensure a smooth journey.
